Your sky.
A world to discover.
A complete chart reading through thirteen houses, lunar mansions, and the rhythms of your current sky.
Your natal sky
Calculating your real-sky placements…
Constellation is a position in the sky. House is a position in the selected symbolic framework.
Longitudes are geocentric tropical ecliptic coordinates of date, used as an angular ruler—not tropical zodiac signs. ℞ indicates decreasing longitude. Nodes are the true lunar nodes.
Same sky. Different houses.
Planetary positions and the Ascendant stay fixed. The house boundaries move.

A real sky. A clear framework.
The astronomical positions are calculated. The house meanings are symbolic prompts for reflection, not a psychological or medical assessment.
How the unequal houses are built
We trace the mean J2000.0 ecliptic at latitude 0° across the IAU constellation regions, using the Roman (1987) boundary table and mean-frame B1875 precession exported from Astropy. A 0.25° scan brackets every crossing; bisection resolves each transition.
The resulting widths are fixed to this epoch. Aries supplies House 1’s width, Taurus House 2’s, through Pisces House 13. We place the start of that sequence at the birth Ascendant and accumulate the widths in increasing longitude. The widths total 360°.
These Ascendant-anchored houses are not the fixed IAU constellation boundaries. They follow the Inner Roots constellation-proportional method. Angular spans are also not exact transit durations.

Swiss Ephemeris 2.10.03 supplies apparent geocentric positions, speeds, Ascendant and Midheaven. Bundled planetary, lunar and asteroid files support 1800–2399. Chiron is calculated from asteroid ephemeris data; if it fails, the result says unavailable.
Each body’s full right ascension and declination in the mean J2000 frame are classified against the IAU regions. Latitude is retained: a body can fall outside the thirteen constellations crossed by the ecliptic. The inner constellation band follows the ecliptic of the birth date; the placement list follows the body itself.
The true ascending lunar node is used; its antipode is the South Node. The MC is an independent marker, not a forced house cusp. UTC is used as an approximation to UT1; no Earth-orientation correction is fetched.
Why unequal houses? Harmony without uniformity.
Harmony does not require every part to occupy the same amount of space. The constellations span unequal portions of the ecliptic. In this adaptation, those proportions become a way to explore the different rhythms of life and consciousness.
Developed by Emily Veronique for Inner Roots Alchemy, this constellation-proportional house model gives each of thirteen archetypal stages its own share of the wheel. Scorpio’s shorter span and Ophiuchus’s longer span offer a symbolic correspondence: an intense moment of transformation can open into a more spacious process of healing, integration, and learning to live what has changed.
The intention is to let proportion carry meaning. A smaller house is no less important, and a larger house does not prescribe how long a life experience must last. These are symbolic spaces for exploring emergence, growth, transformation, integration, and renewal.
Your Ascendant anchors the sequence to your birth horizon. The house widths draw from measured constellation spans, while their use as life themes is an interpretive choice. The houses and the actual sky remain distinct layers of your chart. The optional equal-house comparison lets you explore how a different division changes the reading.
Precision, birthplaces & saved charts
City lookup uses Open-Meteo / GeoNames. A city center is not the exact birthplace; enter known coordinates if available. Historical time conversion uses IANA timezone rules through Temporal and the browser’s timezone database. Old civil-time records may require independent checking.
Small time or location changes can shift a placement close to a cusp. Displayed decimal precision does not remove birth-record uncertainty. Saved charts remain in this browser’s local storage; clearing browser data removes them. Download chart data for a portable copy.
Image sharing exports the chart, including its birth details. The app does not store submitted birth information on a server. Chart files include birth details, so review them before sharing.
